Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2008
Here’s a little summary of what happened on the Game Developers Conference 2008 held in San Francisco. Just in case you didn’t know, Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles was nominated as a Finalist of the Independent Games Festival Mobile, and we were invited to exhibit our game!

W&W T-Shirts: If you see us around with those on don’t forget to say hi!
Before going to the GDC, we made some preparations including T-shirts, flyers, and many prints.
Day 1 and 2 of the GDC
On the first two days, we were free to attend the Conference (our exhibition was on the other three days), and before the GDC started we also walked around San Francisco in search of the Moscone Center (where the Conference was held).

The Moscone Center West on Sunday, while it was still closed. The main conference (where we were located) was at the Moscone North.
On the last day, we had to prepare our Stand for the exhibition. It was pretty cool seeing Sony, Nintendo, Intel, Wii, and many other stands get built in less than two days!

IGF Awards and Main Exhibition
We had to work alot the other three days of the GDC and had little time to look at the other stands. Fortunately, we were able to play the independent games (including great games like Noitu Love 2 and Fez) and meet their creators!

The IGF and GDC Awards Ceremony
Unfortunately, we didn’t win in our category (W&W was selected for Best Audio), but it was a great experience after all. We were able to meet staff from companies like Konami, Capcom, and Square-Enix from Japan. We also made great contacts and learned a lot!
